Landscape design and installation in Bluffton, SC
Outdoor spaces planned around how you use the yard, then installed start to finish.

A lot of landscaping gets designed around what looks good in a photograph rather than around how the people who live there actually use the yard. The result is a property that photographs well the week it is finished and becomes a maintenance burden by the second season.
We start from the other end. What do you use the yard for, which parts do you never go into, where does water sit after a storm, and how much time do you genuinely want to spend on it. The plan comes out of those answers.
What a design and install covers
- Walking the property and talking through how the space actually gets used
- A plan for bed shapes, planting and how the areas connect
- Species chosen for Lowcountry conditions and for the upkeep you want
- Grading and drainage worked into the plan rather than fought later
- Full installation, so clearing, preparing, planting, edging and mulching
- A straight answer about what the finished space will need from you
How a project runs
Talk it through on site
We walk the yard with you and work out what you want from it. The visit and the estimate are free.
Plan around the conditions
Light, drainage and salt exposure set what will work. The plan is built to those rather than around them.
Install it start to finish
Clearing, prep, planting, edging and mulch, all by the same two people, so nothing gets lost between trades.
Designing for the way this climate actually behaves
Two things drive most design decisions here: water and sun. Sandy soil drains fast in some spots and sits wet in others, often in the same yard, and a plan that ignores that puts the wrong plants in the wrong half of the property.
The other is honesty about upkeep. It is easy to design something that needs constant attention and looks superb for one season. We would rather build a yard with plants that belong in this climate, so it still looks right in the third summer without anyone fussing over it every weekend.

Landscape Design & Installation questions
Do you charge for the design?
The walkthrough and the estimate are free. What that covers is agreed before anything starts, so there are no surprises about scope.
Can you work in stages?
Yes, and plenty of people do. Doing the front this year and the back next spreads the cost and lets you see how the first phase settles in before committing to the rest.
Will you work with plants I already have?
Where they are healthy and in a spot that suits them, yes. Keeping established planting is usually the better result as well as the cheaper one.
How much upkeep will the finished yard need?
That is a design decision and we would rather you set it. Tell us how much time you want to put in and we will plan to it rather than handing you something that needs more attention than you want to give.
